The Fort St. John RCMP seized more than 450 grams of cocaine on Monday night. Officers conducted a stop on a vehicle that was suspected of transporting cocaine from Prince George to Fort St. John.

After a search was conducted, approximately a half of a kilogram of cocaine was found hidden inside the vehicle. A 29 year old man from Tumbler Ridge was taken into custody for trafficking of cocaine. He will be appearing before a court on July 22nd at the Fort St. John courthouse.

The RCMP say the detachments in the North will continue to work together to intercept illegal drugs that are destined for any community.
