The Knights of Columbus bantam AA Flyers win last league game against Dawson Creek Junior Canucks

Cayle Bell scored an unusual goal at 16:32 in the first period as he dumped the puck into the offensive zone from just over the red line.  The puck, tied up between the goalie and an opposing player, was deflected into the net giving Fort St. John a 1-0 lead.  Dawson Creek came back with a goal at 10:34 in the first.  Bell scored again early in the second period, assisted by Blair Karasiuk.  The Canucks responded at 8:47 tying the game at 2-2.  The third period saw Logan Daneluk score at 11:24, assisted by Karasiuk and Bell.  While under pressure from the oppositions power play, Karasiuk stole the puck at the blue line and maneuvered down the ice to score a short handed breakaway goal for the Flyers.  Dawson Creek struck back with a power play goal at 1:52 in the third period, not enough to even the score.  The game ended 4-3 for the Flyers.  The opposition was outshot 46/27, reflecting the strong offensive play from the Ft. St. John team.

The Knights of Columbus AA bantam Flyers will be playing the Grande Prairie Chiefs next Saturday at 2:00 pm. In the Rec centre.  This is the first game of the playoffs, a win would move them into the finals. Good Luck Knights!
