Mayor Lantz Released from Hospital on Christmas Day

City of Fort St John Mayor, Mr. Bruce Lantz, was released from the Fort St John Hospital on Christmas Day.

He had been admitted to Fort St John Hospital on Monday, December 22 after suffering a heart attack.

Lantz said that he was “very grateful for the support shown during this difficult incident by my family and friends and by the Fort St John Hospital staff. It is good to be home.

"This experience, while not something I would wish for, has taught me much – about how we all should manage our health better, and about some needs of our local hospital that I will strive to resolve as quickly as possible.

"It has been my pleasure this year to rediscover one of the many meanings of Christmas and I am grateful for the chance to carry forward what I have learned.

"I hope all of you have a safe and happy holiday."

Mayor Lantz is expected to take some time off but should be back to work in early January.
