More Site-C Hearings

BC Hydro moves it’s Site-C open house discussions back into the Peace Region tonight.

The new round of local area meetings is scheduled to begin at six o’clock, in the Taylor Community Hall.

There will be two more sessions at the same time this week, at the EnCana Centre in Dawson Creek and then, the Community Hall in Hudson’s Hope.

Here in Fort St. John the next meeting is scheduled for one week from today November 24th.

It will also begin at 6pm and, it will be held at the Quality Inn, Northern Grand Hotel.

Meantime, opponents of the third dam on the Peace are also gearing up for the meetings.

They’ve scheduled same-day candlelight rallies, this week, for the three meetings sites, in Taylor, Dawson Creek and Hudson’s Hope, each beginning at 5.30 pm.

They’re also planning one next Monday evening in Fort St John, scheduled to start at 5.15, at Centennial Park.
