Trucker injured on rig site in Peace River

A 45-year-old trucker was airlifted to Edmonton today after he was injured on a Murphy Oil drilling rig site in Peace River, Alberta.

The man was struck on the head by a canopy as it was being lowered onto a mud tank. He suffered injuries to his neck. The man was originally taken to hospital in Peace River, but was later transferred to Edmonton. He is expected to recover.
