South Peace Thefts

The Dawson Creek RCMP has issued a suspicious activity warning for residents in the Sunrise Valley and Farmining areas. Its goes to about a month long spree of incidents of theft and vandalism, at industrial sites. Police say they occur late at night and, usually involve the theft of small industrial tools. Those responsible are believed to be traveling on ATV’s…specifically a dune buggy type vehicle. Recently it’s believed they expanded their choice of targets, to include the Parkland School in Farmington. It was broken into on June 22nd and, the exterior vanaldized with paint. Police are taking public information assistance calls, at the Dawson Creek Detachment number 250-784-3700 or, crime stoppers number 1-800-222-84-77.
