Another RCMP in custody death has been confirmed in Northern BC.
It occurred early this morning in Prince George, where police received a complaint, about a half naked male rolling around in the bushes near a pub.
He was subsequently arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and, while dealing with him police also arrested a female for the same reason.
Both were taken to the RCMP detachment and, lodged in the cell block pending release, when they were sober.
However, while conducting prisoner checks, a guard observed the female to be unresponsive and, BC Ambulance Services were contacted.
A police release says attempts to revive her were not successful and, the incident is now being investigated by the North District Major Crime Unit.
