Join us for the Fort St. John premiere of Spirit of Treaty 8, a new documentary that explores the past, present, and future of Treaty 8 through the voices of Indigenous communities across Canada’s North. Filmed across the lands now known as British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories, Spirit of Treaty 8 shares powerful perspectives on sovereignty, resilience, and the enduring promises of Treaty. The film highlights how the Treaty continues to shape relationships, communities, and shared understanding today. Directed by award-winning Haida filmmaker Nang K’uulas Patrick Shannon and produced by Kelly Kenny and Innonative, this documentary is brought forward in partnership with the Treaty 8 Tribal Association and the City of Fort St. John. This is a free community screening. No tickets are required, and all are welcome to attend. Funded by the Government of Canada. Sponsored by Enbridge.
