It’s always interesting to see what the readers of are most interested in the region. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the top stories for the week of October 23 to 29, 2022

  1. Tragic Overdose Death: On October 22nd, 2022, the Fort St. John RCMP was called for assistance to a medical emergency suspected to be a drug overdose,
  2. Employees Speak Out Sudden Shutdown: The Northern Environmental Action Team has been a part of Fort St John and the surrounding region for a while now and the sudden shutdown of the organization and the Fireweed Market left many with questions, including the employees.
  3. Bridge Open for Traffic: As part of the Site C project, the Farrell Creek Bridge is now open for vehicles to go across
