FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Following a report of a man on the rooftops of businesses on 100th Street, the city is asking business owners to secure access to their rooftops.

On May 9th, a man was reportedly spotted on the rooftops of the Probation Office and Freedom Physiotherapy buildings on 100th Street.

The man’s physical description was provided to the RCMP, according to the City of Fort St. John’s memo to businesses.

The city says it is important that people do not have access to businesses’ rooftops for public safety and liability reasons.

The city recommends checking rooftop access points to ensure they are secure and contacting the RCMP’s non-emergency line if there is evidence of someone accessing the rooftop.

Anyone actively on a business rooftop should be reported to police by calling 911.

Energeticcity.ca has reached out to the RCMP for more information.
