UPDATE: Dumptruck, car involved in crash on Highway 97

UPDATE: Fire Chief Norton of the Fort St. John Fire Department says that the occupant of one of the vehicles required extraction with the jaws of life, and was then passed along to the care of BC Ambulance.

The Fort St. John Fire Department responded with one rescue apparatus and four members.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Fort St. John RCMP received a call around 9:46 a.m. of a crash involving two vehicles.

A dump truck and a passenger car were involved, but no further details on the vehicles are available at this time.

The crash occurred on Highway 97 (Alaska Highway) at the 271 road intersection.

One person was reportedly injured, according to the RCMP.
