CHETWYND, B.C. – The District of Chetwynd has received $360,600 through two Northern Development grants.

Through the Main Street Revitalization – Capital program, $200,000 was approved for Chetwynd’s downtown revitalization project.

This project includes upgrades to sidewalks and crosswalks, bike lane creation, active transportation amenities, improved and expanded use of street furniture and new LED lighting.

Approved under the Recreation Infrastructure program was $160,000 for the Pine Valley Exhibition Park revitalization, also in Chetwynd.

The Pine Valley Exhibition Park Society is planning a significant site renewal, including upgrading riding surfaces, fencing, gates and other accessories to host rodeo events.
