FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Earlyact Student Leadership Club at Ma Murray School is on the lookout for sponsors to support their upcoming block party on June 11th.
The club has partnered up with the FSJ Rotary Club and the school’s PAC to host the block party to raise funds to replace the playground flooring in their front playground, which is used by the community and a local daycare.
Currently, the playground floor is full of wood chips, but the school is hoping to replace it with recycled rubber to improve the playground’s durability and student health.
The school plans to host a barbecue, bake sale and a silent auction to raise funds for the playground. An indoor garage sale will also take place, with the cost for local merchants sitting at ten dollars per table.
Sponsors are needed to support additional activities for children, including bouncy castles, face painting, and balloons.
Those interested in sponsoring activities, barbecue items, or wanting to help with the silent auction can contact Meagan Bracey at mbracey@prn.bc.ca.
