DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Dawson Creek spent over $11 million on staff salaries in 2021.
The annual statement of financial information was presented on May 9th.
The highest-paid elected official was mayor Dale Bumstead, earning $70,397.60, with $6,566.67 in expenses.
Council members Paul Gevatkoff, Charles Parslow, Shaely Wilbur, Jerimy Earl, Amy Kaempf, and Darcy Dober earned $23,933 each, and Wilbur had $299 in expenses.
Overall, Blair Lekstrom, Chief Administrative Officer, earned the most out of all employees at $188,672.28.
The city doled out $11,434,043.52 on salaries and $149,465.69 on expenses in total in 2021.

Over $41.1 million was spent on goods and services last year, and over $307,000 for grants and contributions exceeding $25,000.
