DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Argo Roads in the South Peace is reporting that several roads are closed due to flooding.

The 214 road is closed between the 227 and 225 roads. The 217 road is also closed between the 216 road and the Sweetwater road. Both roads will be closed until the water recedes.

This follows a cautionary tweet from Argo Road Maintenace about the rain and snow forecasted in the area this weekend.

They request drivers to use caution while travelling and report areas of concern through the 24-hour phone line at 1-800-663-7623 and check Drive BC for updates.

On top of the local flooding, a flood watch has been issued for the Pouce Coupe River and a high streamflow advisory has been issued for the rest of Northeast B.C. Read more about potential flooding by clicking here.
