FSJ Chamber’s Creating Energy Northern Resources Conference returning

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of the Creating Energy – Northern Resources Conference.

Tourmaline will be the presenting sponsor, and Al Bush, chief operating officer, is excited to connect with attendees in person this year.

“As a proud community member in northeast B.C., Tourmaline is pleased to sponsor Creating Energy again this year.”

The conference will be from June 22nd to June 23rd, and a BC LNG Golf Tournament will follow on June 24th.

This year’s theme is “Investing in the Future” and will focus on the LNG industry.

According to a release, the conference will include the three pillars of investment: LNG investment, environmental investment and investing in Indigenous Reconciliation.

The three-day event will combine education, discussion and celebration of B.C. energy, specifically the LNG sector.

There will be two days of virtual sessions with industry, political and Indigenous leaders, four keynote speakers, and four discussion panels.

On June 22nd, in the evening, there will be a networking event, and on June 23rd, there will be an Indigenous dinner held at the Lido with more keynote speakers and a traditional Indigenous dancer.

The B.C. LNG Golf Tournament will be hosted at LakePoint Golf Course following these events on June 24th.

There will be two sides to this event, half of the field being competitive and the other half being recreational.

Tickets for the Conference and the Indigenous Dinner will be available on May 2nd at the Chambers’ website.

To register for the golf tournament, contact the Chamber directly at 250-785-6037.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for both events, and interested parties can contact Cheryl at 250-261-4486.
