FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Fort St. John Hospital Foundation staff will be returning to their office inside the hospital after two years.
Like most businesses at the beginning of the pandemic, the foundation’s staff were required to work from home.
Once COVD-19 restrictions eased, the hospital was still limited to essential workers, meaning the foundation’s staff were left without a home until Fort Motors stepped up.
From June 2020 to February 2021, the non-profit operated out of an office space that Fort Motors provided until moving into the Graywest Office Centre.
“The FSJ Hospital Foundation Board and team are very grateful for the hospitality that Bud Williamson from Fort Motors and Peter Lyhall from Graywest extended to the Foundation,” said executive director Kelly Amboe.
“Their generous support ensured the Foundation was able to carry out its vison: Enhancing patient care and comfort in the North Peace Region, in a very uncertain time. We are also very thankful to the community for their unwavering support. We are fortunate to live and work in such a generous community.”
The foundation offices are located through the hospital’s front doors, and around the corner from the gift shop and is now open to the public.
