PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – The UBC Northern Medical Program at UNBC celebrated their graduating class of 2022 with a White Coat Ceremony.
On April 21st, 31 graduate students received a wood shingle with their names and a long white coat to show their transition from students to doctors.
These students will now move on to their residency and fellowship training, which could last between two and seven years, depending on their specialty.
This class includes ten graduates from Northern B.C., one of which will be training in Fort St. John, and the other graduates will be practicing a wide range of specialties across B.C. and the country.
This local celebration comes before the formal graduation for the students, which takes place at UBC in Vancouver on May 24th, where they will receive their official medical degrees.
