FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – School buses in both School Districts 59 and 60 have been cancelled for Tuesday.
Schools will remain open, but buses in all communities have been cancelled for the day due to the overnight snowfall.
A snowfall warning remains in place for the region with the forecast calling for 10 to 20 cm of snow in the B.C. Peace. The snow is expected to end Tuesday evening.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
- B.C. North Peace River
- B.C. South Peace River
Heavy snow continues in B.C. Peace River.
When: Now through this evening.
Snow Accumulations: An additional 5 to 10 cm.
Remarks: A weather system moving across BC is giving heavy snow in B.C. Peace River region. The highest snow accumulations will be near the Rockies. An additional 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected today before the heavy snow eases to periods of light snow this evening.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
