North Peace Gymnastics hosts first invitational and championships in May

May will be a busy month for North Peace Gymnastics as it prepares for upcoming competitions.

The association is hosting the first Northern Lights Invitational on May 27th and the Zone 8 Championships on May 28th.

Many athletes and their families will be coming to Fort St. John from all over Northern B.C.

The organization says around 115 young athletes will be competing during the invitational and 101 the following day for the championships.

In a release, club manager Chantelle Yates says a “parent pack” will be created and handed out at the host hotels for guests.

“As a travelling parent myself, I know arriving in a new community. I often sit on the bed in our hotel and wonder what we can do and where we should eat,” said Yates in a statement.

“We hope to include in these packs some fun “Shop Local” ideas.”

Nothing has been solidified for the parent packs, so any business wanting to participate can contact Yates at 250-263-4145 or [email protected]
