FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Huskies got to let their hair down last Friday without stressing about the next game.

Everyone close to the team, from the executive to the girlfriends to the billets, were out to celebrate with the Huskies after a historic season that saw them win the Senators Cup on March 19th and the Alberta Junior B Provincials on April 3rd.

“It was a good event. And obviously, there’s a lot of emotion at events like that. So that’s also good for the soul sometimes too, ” said head coach Todd Alexander.

The emotions were high because after everything the accomplished this season, this may be the last time the teammates are all in one room together.

“Tyler MacArthur is gonna move on and play college hockey next year. The other graduates are going down different paths. One of them is going to go play lacrosse, and one of them is going to go work for BC hydro,” said Alexander.

This season the Huskies picked up 50 wins out of 57 games.
