FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – BC Hydro is back with its seasonal reminder for boat owners that a section of the Peace River is permanently closed.
According to the company, being on or near the water surrounding Site C construction presents serious safety risks.
To move boaters around the construction area, a seasonal portage program will be resuming to transport non-motorized vessels by road past the dam. The program operates between the Halfway River boat launch and the Peace Island Park boat launch from May 15th to September 15th.
