FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Huskies were two seconds away from a tie in the Alberta Junior B provincial hockey championships opener on Thursday afternoon.

The Cochrane Generals put up a goal with seconds left on the clock to narrowly beat the Huskies 5-4 in Wainwright.

The Huskies will face the Beaumont Braves Friday at 9 a.m.
