FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John will be welcoming Gurdeep Pandher as the keynote speaker at the 15th Annual Community Awards.
This year’s theme is “We ♥ Fort. St. John,” and the awards will be held on May 26th.
Gurdeep was born in India before moving to Canada in 2006, where he decided to tour the entire country to learn more about it, living in numerous provinces along the way. He now calls a wilderness cabin in Yukon home.
He became a Canadian citizen in 2011, and now millions worldwide have viewed his videos, featuring his dancing.
“We are excited to have Gurdeep join us in Fort St. John to celebrate and honour the individuals, groups and businesses whose talents, dedication and generosity have contributed greatly to life in our community. Through his Bhangra dancing videos, he shares messages of hope, positivity, and inclusivity to communities from coast to coast to coast,” said Mayor Lori Ackerman.
