FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – FortisBC says Fort Nelson customers will see no increase in their gas rates until June.
In a release, FortisBC says they received approval from the B.C. Utilities Commission to maintain the cost of gas rates at $3.964 per gigajoule until June 30th.
“Receiving approval to keep natural gas rates stable is a welcome decision, especially at a time when the cost of living has been increasing,” said Joe Mazza, vice-president of energy supply and resource development at FortisBC.
“Our priority remains to deliver safe and reliable energy to our customers while working to decarbonize our system and keep rates as low as possible.”
Gas rates for FortisBC customers in other parts of B.C. will also stabilize at 4.503 per GJ
