GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALTA. – A Grande Prairie RCMP investigation is underway after human remains were discovered.
Police say a report came in around 8 p.m. on Thursday of human remains found in the snow in the area of 102 Street and 92 Avenue.
The circumstances surrounding the death of this individual are unknown at this time, according to the detachment.
Officers are expected to be on scene over the weekend and are asking for the public’s cooperation by avoiding the area.
Investigators do not believe there is any threat to public safety as it relates to this death.
No further information will be provided until after an autopsy can be performed.
