FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northeast B.C. midget Trackers are playing for gold after beating Cloverdale 3-2 in overtime Wednesday morning.

The U-18 Tier 1 championship game takes place Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. in Surrey.

The Team’s goals came from Parker Fenton, Dane Dietz, and Sam Loewen.

The club has wins over Victoria and East Kootenays against Ridge Meadows.

The Trackers have three wins and a tie in the tournament and are set to play Central Okanagan, who is undefeated in four games.

As for the bantam Trackers, they finished the U15 Tier 1 Provincial Championships with a 1-2 record after a loss on Tuesday to the Semiahmoo Ravens.

The Trackers started the tournament with a loss to the Victoria Admirals and then bounced back with a win against the East Kootenay bantam team.

The club finished the tournament in seventh place in the standings.
