School District 60 is receiving some provincial funding for upgrades and new buses.
Through the School Enhancement Program, the district is set to get $1.36 million for exterior wall systems at Buick Creek Elementary and Dr. Kearney Middle School.
The funding will also be used to get four new buses through the Bus Acquisition Program.

In a release on Tuesday, the health minstry says $240.5 million is being provided to districts across the province for school maintenance projects.
From the announced funding, $48.4 million will be used to upgrade HVAC systems, and $15 million will go to purchase at least 82 new school buses.
Just over $163 million in provincial and federal funding has been given to schools for HVAC upgrades since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said.
School District 59 is also receiving funds for some schools upgrades and news buses, along with HVAC upgrades.
The district is receiving $1.94 million for HVAC upgrades at Dawson Creek Secondary, Tumbler Ridge Elementary, and Pouce Coupe Elementary. Funding will also cover roof upgrades at DCS and electrical systems upgrades at Tremblay Elementary. The district is also getting three new buses.
