FORT ST. JOHN B.C. – The North Peace Secondary Grizzlies senior boys basketball team are headed to Langley for the AAAA championships.
The Grizzlies left Fort St. John for the 16-team tournament on Monday after beating Prince George in the regional playoffs last month.
The team is ranked at number 15 in the tournament, and their first game tips off at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday against the second seeded Coquitlam Centennial Centaurs.
The Grizzlies may be the last-place team in the rankings for the 4A bracket, but the team is going in hoping to upset some of the higher-seeded teams in the tournament.
The tournament runs from March 9th to March 12th, with the championship game set for an 8:15 p.m. tip-off on Saturday night.
The link to the full bracket is here.
Last week, the senior girls came home from provincials in Langley, dropping all four games they played in the tourney.
