DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Dawson Creek’s theatre is lending a helping hand to war ravaged Ukraine, with 50 per cent of all popcorn sales being donated to the Red Cross until March 18th as part of relief efforts in the current Russian invasion.
Theatre manager Shella Barredo says her heart goes out to the citizens of Ukraine, reminding her of hardships in her own homeland, the Philippines – where friends and family have suffered multiple invasions in the country’s history.
She added the Red Cross will be matching the theatre’s donation.
