DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Police confirm that a young child was hit by a vehicle outside Tremblay Elementary School Wednesday afternoon.
Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says the child was taken to the hospital but sustained no injuries.
She reminds drivers that 30 km/hr school zones are in effect from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on school days.
Those that don’t comply with the posted limit around schools can face fines ranging from $196 to $253.
The accident took place on 13th Street, around 2:50 p.m.
