DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Three suspects facing attempted murder with a firearm charges against a Dawson Creek woman will next appear in court on March 14th.

Court services were unable to provide the next appearance reason, but said the trio appeared in Supreme Court on February 28th to fix a date.

Freddy Ominayak, 26, Vicki Ominayak, 26, and Jared Anderson, 28, are accused of attempted murder with a firearm, discharging a firearm with the intent to wound or disfigure, robbery, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon in relation to an August 2021 shooting in Dawson Creek.

Freddy Ominayak also faces an additional charge of wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

On August 26th, 2021, a Dawson Creek woman attended the Dawson Creek hospital with a gunshot wound. The Prince George Emergency Response Team was called in and officers located Freddy Ominayak at a motel in the 1700 block of Alaska Avenue. He was arrested without incident.

Freddy remains in custody, while Vicki and Anderson made bail this past September.
