FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Spark Women’s Leadership Conference needs help from local businesses by sponsoring its angel program.
Through sponsorship funding, the program is made available for women that would like to attend the conference who would otherwise be unable to participate due to their financial situation.
The program has allowed 100 women to participate in conferences over the past couple of years.
Spark fills a gap that is missing in the community by providing professional development and leadership development opportunities.
Jennifer Moore, with Spark, says personal development is expensive, mainly because it’s not offered in the city.
“We hate saying no to folks who take the time to fill out the application. So there are a few more sponsor spots left, and the angel application process itself is open until March 7th.”
The sponsorship funding covers the registration fees for those applying through the angel program, which has a limited number of spaces available.
Moore adds that for those looking to be an angel or want to support one, head over to the event’s website.
“If you know a woman who could benefit from a day of empowerment and leadership development and professional development, we encourage them to apply [through the website], and you’ll see a link under the registration drive.”
Regular registration for the conference will open in early March, with the event taking place on May 19th.
The 2022 event teaches guests how to Power Through Change, Like a Boss and provide quality education and take away tools that will assist in communication, business development, personal well-being, and leadership.
