KEREMEOS, B.C. — Police say homicide investigators have been called after a man was found dead Sunday night in Keremeos, B.C.
The RCMP say officers were called to a home in the southern Interior community after receiving a report of a man who was unresponsive.
They arrived to find that the man had died, and police say criminality was suspected.
In a statement, the RCMP say the death is not related to any other ongoing investigations in the region.
The Mounties’ southeast district major crime unit was expected to remain in the area for several days to gather evidence.
Police did not identify the man or provide further details, but say their initial investigation leads them to believe that there is no risk to the public and what happened was an isolated incident.
