CHETWYND, B.C. – Charla Brazeau brings her 23 years as a registered nurse to Chetwynd General Hospital as its new clinical practice lead.

Brazeau has lived in Chetwynd since 2017, holding several positions within Northern Health and is familiar with multiple Peace region hospitals since moving to the region.

Northern Health says she has experience working at Chetwynd General Hospital, Dawson Creek and District Hospital, as well as experience working in Tumbler Ridge. She has also worked as the community health nurse for the Saulteau First Nations.

Brazeau is from  Fairview, Alberta, and before heading to Northern B.C., she worked at the Red Deer Regional Hospital as an emergency room nurse, the health authority said.

The wife and mother of two is also a certified personal trainer and wellness coach and has a passion for hiking and sledding in her off time.

The health authority says Brazeau has fully embraced Chetwynd as her home and is excited to start her new role with the chance to make positive change in the community.
