FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The North Peace Potters’ Guild is displaying the fruits of their labour in an exhibit titled “A Place at the Table” at Peace Gallery North until February 26th.
A member of the guild, Jean Gammage, says members have been hard at work over the past few months preparing for the exhibit.
“The theme this year is a place at the table, which means anything, that you put on your table. We’ve got wine goblets. We have platters, we have mugs. We have everything you could possibly want to put on your table,” Gammage said.
“We have such a diverse membership and we all do different things. We’re good at some things and not at others, but we have some exciting, and we also have some frustrating, times too,” Gammage added.
A diverse selection of pieces are featured in the exhibit with a variety of methods used in the creation process, some items are available for purchase.
The guild has previously held exhibits at Peace Gallery North, the most recent being from two members, known as “Masks”
