UPDATE: Highway 97 reopened between Dawson Creek and Fort St. John

UPDATE: The road has been reopened. 

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Highway 97 is closed approximately nine km north of Dawson Creek.

The Highway is closed in both directions due to a vehicle incident between the Reidell Subdivision and the 214 Road.

Emergency crews are on the scene and are working to assess the situation. A detour is in place via the Mason Road and the 212 Road. At this time, there is no estimate on when the highway will be open again.
