DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Dawson Creek Secondary Central Campus’s functional closure ended early as students were welcomed back Wednesday.
School District 59 announced the closure last Friday, stating 40 per cent of teachers and staff were absent due to illness.
Remote learning was expected to take place throughout the week, with the district planning to reassess staff illness levels on February 11th

However, the district said Tuesday that staffing levels returned to near normal, allowing students to return early.
Health and safety protocols remain in place to ensure the safety of students and staff, the district said in a statement.
