Northern Health reported a new COVID-19 death over the weekend, bringing the total number of deaths in the region to 288 since the start of the pandemic.
As of Monday, there were 38 people in hospital, with 13 in critical care, according to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.
The region has reported 26,137 cases since March 2020, and there were 1,235 active cases.
As of Monday, 90.2 per cent (4,498,488) of eligible people five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of the COVID–19 vaccine, and 84.6 per cent (4,218,470) have received their second dose.
Over 508,000 doses have been administered in the Northern region out of the near 10.97 million doses administered throughout B.C.
