FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the Peace Region, beginning on Sunday morning and continuing into the afternoon.

A weather system moving across northeastern B.C. will generate strong winds over the Peace River region on Sunday.

Southwest winds will rise to 70 km/h gusting to 90 km/h in the morning and then ease in late the afternoon.

Environment Canada says loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break
