FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – FSJ Huskies Head Coach, Todd Alexander feels confident going into a three-game set this weekend and says it’s a good taste of what it’s like to play in the playoffs.

“It’s always good to go through at this time of year before playoffs. The games stack up on each other and you don’t get a lot of time to have practice and days off, so you got to find the energy and find the legs from different places,” Alexander said.

Alexander says going into the weekend, the team will be focusing on continuing to build their game and improving on team play.

“The better we play together, the better chances we have. Especially when the competition gets a little bit stiffer, that’s where some of the dividers are when you got two equal teams is how well they can play to their system and be in the right position.”

The Huskies kick off the weekend on Friday by taking on the Vipers at Sexsmith Arena at 8 P.M.

On Saturday they’ll play the Dawson Creek Kodiaks at North Peace Arena at 8 P.M.

Then, they’ll head to Baytex Energy Centre on Sunday to play to North Peace Navigators. Puck drops at 3:30 P.M.
