FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Lights College is hosting a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic at its Fort St. John campus this Friday.

Northern Health will be on location offering all three doses.

The clinic is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.

As of January 19th, BC CDC data shows 76 per cent of North Peace residents over 12 years old have received their first dose, 70 per cent got their second dose, and 20 per cent received thier booster.

For South Peace residents, 72 per cent received their first dose, 66 per cent got their second dose, and 22 per cent received a booster so far.

Around 83 per cent of Fort St. john residents are fully vaccinated.

Northeast B.C. had 207 COVID-19 cases between January 9th and 15th, with the North Peace recording 115 cases. The South Peace reported 85 cases while Fort nelson had seven.

Vaccinations are now taking place at Totem mall in Fort St. John, and Northern Health is looking to open clinics for a few dates at the Pomeroy Sport Centre. City council will make a decision on the PSC clinic during Monday’s council meeting.
