FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – An approaching Pacific frontal system will give snow to parts of the B. C. North and Central Interior. Light snow is expected over Highway 97 – Pine Pass tomorrow morning and will become heavier in the afternoon.
Snow will continue through tomorrow night with nearly 15 cm expected by Monday morning. As snow levels rise, snow may become mixed with rain Sunday overnight.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. The site https://shiftintowinter.ca/ reminds drivers to know before they go. Adjust to winter driving behaviour and use winter tires and chains.
