FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health’s Fort St. John vaccine clinic will again be operating out of Totem Mall to remedy issues brought up by the recent booster shot campaign.

The Fort St. John Health unit saw long wait times for people wanting their shots due to being short-staffed due to the extreme cold and an influx in drop-ins for booster shots.

As of December 31st, everyone over 18 will receive an invite to get their third booster six months after their second dose.

Eryn Collins, a spokesperson for Northern Health, said last week that the health authority was looking at increasing capacity and offering booked appointments.

The clinic is operating out of the Old Marks Work Warehouse and will be open to all ages wanting their vaccinations as of January 15th through booked appointments and drop-ins.

The clinic will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The health unit will remain open for drop-ins until Wednesday.
