FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society has re-opened after being closed for the holidays and needs winter clothing and food donations.
The outreach coordinator for the Society, Lisa Jewell, says due to the surge of COVID-19 cases the team is only able to accept donations of food, as well as adult size jackets and snow pants (size medium to XXL).
“We’re really limited on what we can take and these specific donations help cut down on the number of people coming and going as well,” Jewell explained.
Jewell adds that while she appreciates receiving donations from the community, she asks that residents avoid leaving bags of clothing outside of the society as her team is unable to process these donations.
The Society is also on the lookout for volunteers. Those interested must be fully vaccinated and able to pass a criminal record check.
