FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – After winning the U18 Western Regionals in November as the Team BC captain, Brooke Disher has decided where she’ll play hockey and go to school next year.

Disher, a product of the Fort St. John Minor Hockey system, currently plays for Rink Hockey Academy in Kelowna.

Through 15 games, she has 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points.

Disher had made the shortlist of players invited to try out for a spot on Team Canada at the U18 World Championships in Sweden, but the tournament was cancelled in late December.

At the Western Regionals, Disher scored one goal and tallied five assists in five games for Team BC.

Boston University has made it to the NCAA Frozen Four tournament twice, in 2011 and 2013. Both years they lost in the final.

Team Canada Olympian Marie-Philip Poulin is a Boston University Terriers alum.

Joining Disher at Boston University next year as freshmen are goaltender Mari Pietersen and forward Alex Law.
