FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -After delaying their planned 2020 tour, Canadian music duo meagan&amy will be kicking off their tour of British Columbia at the North Peace Cultural Centre on Saturday, January 15th.
Hailing from Saskatchewan, the vibrant duo consists of pianist Meagan Milatz and violinist Amy Hillis.
According to the NPCC, the pair share an intense passion for innovative programming and fearless music-making. Both have been praised for their energy, sensitivity, and musical maturity. They were awarded the first-ever “Pan-Canadian Partnership” recital tour of 50 different Canadian cities in 13 provinces and territories.
The duo is currently active in Montreal, presenting recitals in venues such as Pollack Hall, Chapelle Historique du Bon Pasteur, Tanna Schulich Hall and Redpath Hall.
Their individual strengths – Milatz’s proficiency on the fortepiano and Hillis’s aptitudes for contemporary music – have combined to inform the wide range of repertoire which they present.
After covid related delays, meagan&amy are excited to share their music with the residents of the Peace River region.
Their show begins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 15th. Tickets are available here.
Proof of vaccination and a mask is required to attend the performance.
