FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A storm moving across B.C. will spread snow to the Pine Pass beginning Friday night.

The snow is expected to intensify Saturday morning and continue through Saturday night.

Its estimated that the area will see approximately 15 to 25 cm of snow.

Environment Canada warns that rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations and that surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

The weather service advises that drivers be prepared to adjust their driving with changing road conditions and recommends using winter tires and chains
