VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health region added 122 cases Thursday, moving the active case count to 422.
There were six Omicron cases identified since Wednesday, bringing the total in the region to 13.
There are 17 people in hospital, five of whom are in critical care.
The death count remains at 275
Out of 18,899 cases, 18,189 have recovered.
Another 968 vaccine doses were given Thursday, moving the total doses administered to 422,079. Of those, 186,050 are second doses and 33,537 are other doses.
British Columbia breaks another daily case record with 4,383 new cases of COVID-19 since Wednesday, bringing the active case count to 17,357.
There are 211 people in hospital, 66 of whom are in critical care.
There was one death reported, bringing the total to 2,420.
Since last spring, 251,054 cases have been recorded, 230,784 of those have since recovered.
The province gave 30,871 doses since last reported, bringing the total dose count to 9,368,643. Of those, 4,113,310 are second doses and 884,783 are other doses.
