DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Kevin J Johnston will appear in Dawson Creek court on January 19th to receive trial dates for an assault case.

A previous Energeticcity article in July stated Johnston would face a trial by judge on December 22nd, which was cancelled when an adjourned application was granted on December 16th.

Johnston was arrested and charged with assault after punching the Dawson Creek No Frills manager on March 25th.

The accused was in the city to speak at a Freedom Rally.

Johnston was sentenced to 18 months behind bars in October for continuing to defame Paramount Fine Foods owner, Mohamad Fakih, after receiving a court order to stop two years ago. He will begin his sentence in January when he can return to Ontario.
